PostSubject: Fan Choreo Montages   Thu Oct 11, 2007 3:15 pm

Wouldn't it be fun to create your very own choreo? One day I would like to create a game where the player could choose a piece of music and create their own choreography by manipulating a 3D doll and setting the required elements on the timeline.
Since right now I don't have the necessary skillz & even more necessary free time, I amuse myself sticking parts of old programs to create new ones. :joker: If I squint really hard and use a lot of imagination I can see how a real new program would look like... Cloud 9

Montages created in collaboration with Okami.

Mao Asada - Polonaise in F sharp minor
Music composed by: F.Chopin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJV0yDbfxRw
I love, love, love this music. And I don't think anyone could skate to it as well as Mao. I'm hoping she'll chose it one day! Love Hearts

Nobunari Oda - Danse Macabre
Music composed by C.Saint-Saens
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80fJwngnoUs
Another piece of music I luuurve, particularly the Dance of Skeletons part, when the xylophone makes the sound like bones cliking against each other... Beautiful music with a creepy story behind it. Mushy Love

Nobunari Oda - Nessun Dorma
Music composed by Puccini
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gr164nrJk4Q
I think Nobu makes a great prince Calaf. Mushy Love The Nessum Dorma part of the Turandot opera has been often used by female skaters, but it's actually an aria sung by the prince Calaf and dedicated to beautiful princess Turandot.

Lovely!!! flower

Somebody stole it and repost on YT as their own, though... I think if they wanted to post a monatge, they should just make their own! Unconscious

Two mini-montages in collaboration with Okami... I won't post them on YT because they are not polished enough, but it's a shame to just let them lay wasted on my HD.

Mao Asada - Zigeunerweisen
(Zigeunerweisen by Pablo de Sarasate)
http://www.divshare.com/download/5231587-d4d
1st version of Czardas remade into a SP... Laughing It would be fun to see Mao perform a Czardas-like program now. I think it was a difficult music for her when she was struggling with a growth spurt. Now, with more secure jumps and greatly improved spins, steps, expression and freedom in skating it would look stunning! Smile

MiniMao - Claire de Lune
(Claire de Lune by C.Debussy)
http://www.divshare.com/download/5231588-664
A mix made from Mao's novice programs... I love you

Great! I love the black-red color scheme of "Zigeunerweisen". queen And it fits the music well. It would be a cool SP! Love Hearts

MiniMao's "Claire de Lune" is adorable! Swoon Even then, she had a very balletic, lyrical style. This music is perfect for her! Love Hearts

Thank you for your comments! Wub

I decided to upload Zigeunerweisen on Youtube, here's the link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahleypy8DGk

I'm a bit disappointed, though, because for some reason the HQ version is not available! Depressed Crying I uploaded other videos which the same resolution (like "Glorious") and the HQ version was available almost immediately. I think I'll just post a downloadable link in the video description... Sweatdrop

I also uploaded a new program montage by Okami today!

Nobunari Oda - Child of Nazareth
(Child of Nazareth by M.Rodriguez)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZcL8v6qITA

I looove this music. Love Hearts Perfect choreography match, too! Boogie

We are working on 4 new ones, 2 program montages and 2 tribute montages, but as we can't come to agreement on which one finish first, it might take some time. Sweatdrop

Wow! Superb timing! Swoon Thumbs up! Love the jumps right on the beat, and the ina-spiral transitions! And the first spin was great and so difficult (camel to sit spin with hands over head), why nobody does it anymore? WOW!

I love this music as well, too bad Johnny never had a perfect skate with this program. I'll never forget the ES commentary at Worlds when Johnny was in the Kiss&Cry... Johnny: "It could be worse!" Nick (sadly): "Not much..!" I was sad he kind of bombed, but this commentary had me in stitches. Laughing

Thanks for sharing! Thank you!

I uploaded two new montages on our account. Smile

Mao Asada - Moderato Nobile
(Violin Concerto: Moderato Nobile by Erich W. Korngold)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGIa2-STsvM

Nobunari Oda - Devil Trill
(Devil Trill by Vanessa Mae)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMWiMEfUlYg

I'm not sure if they can be called "montages", actually, as the only things that were changed were the music and the colors... Laugh Both videos are the result of me being surprised how well the programs fit the music without making any changes to the programs themselves. All I needed to do was to trim "Moderato Nobile) to SP's lenght and extend "Devil Trill" a little. Laugh

Wow! I played Zigeunerweisen in many competitions last year and I have many good memories from it. It was my big dream to perform this piece with Mao once!! Who, me? Great work!
